Evrensel Global Energy (EGE)
Our Mission
To support global economies in their transition to energy resources that accelerate fulfillment of their commitment to reduce harmful atmospheric emissions while providing efficient, cost-effective, and sustainable generation, transmission and distribution of clean and dependable electricity.
EGE brings the elements of success to energy projects from start to finish, including master-plan design, identification of best-of-breed technologies, structured funding aimed at long-term project viability, and planned integration capabilities with future projects to accommodate incremental growth and demand.
EGE aims to empower communities, protect the planet, and inspire a new era of environmental stewardship through bold solutions that transform challenges into opportunities for a better tomorrow
Focus on Africa
Evrensel Global Energy enjoys many relationships with individuals and institutions across the African continent and is engaged in proposals, discussions and Memoranda of Understanding in several countries regarding energy development projects. An important part of our contribution to these projects is to understand the market viability of new energy generation as it relates to the consumers who will become the mainstay customers of the new electric utility. We recognize that there are many rural areas in African countries where access to electricity has been limited or non-existent and that employment opportunities in those areas are scarce. EGE intends to commit to a Community Development approach with a goal of uplifting the local residents by creating vocational training facilities that will provide training availability to develop a workforce base to staff both construction forces needed to build out the project as well a management and maintenance team to run and maintain the plant when it is complete and operating. The Community Development approach will benefit the project with access to a local trained workforce and also benefit the local community with improved wages and permanent steady employment. At EGE we believe that major developments that impact local communities need to be positive additions to their quality of life.
Africa’s Evolving Energy Landscape
Current Investment Landscape:
In 2022, Africa attracted approximately USD 70 billion in energy investments, with 58% directed towards oil and gas activities. This indicates that a substantial portion of energy investments is still funnelled into fossil fuels.

Clean Energy Investment:
Specifically, clean energy investments need to grow to around USD 133 billion annually between 2026 and 2030 to meet these objectives.

Overall Energy Investment
To achieve its energy and climate-related goals by 2030, Africa requires annual investments exceeding USD 200 billion.

DECARBONISING NATURAL GAS
Decarbonizing natural gas involves implementing technologies such as carbon capture and storage (CCS) to reduce emissions from natural gas production and consumption.
While specific figures for annual investments required solely for decarbonizing natural gas in Africa are not readily available, it’s evident that a significant portion of the energy investment will need to be allocated to cleaner natural gas technologies to align with climate goals.
CONVERTING NATURAL GAS TO ELECTRICITY
Natural gas-fired power plants are a key component of Africa’s strategy to increase electricity generation capacity.
Investments in this area include the development of new power plants, expansion of existing facilities, and associated infrastructure such as pipelines and distribution networks. While precise annual investment figures for natural gas-to-electricity projects are not specified, they constitute a substantial part of the overall energy investment required.
